Auckland turned on the sunshine and smiles for my visit. I had the pleasure of popping into some of my favourite independent bookstores to catch up with the lovely booksellers and sign stock. The team at Time Out were warm and welcoming as usual. Such a gorgeous shop!
It was exciting to finally visit Little Unity and meet Briar who I have had the pleasure of chatting with on social media for ages. The new store is totally beautiful!
I was welcomed with tremendous kindness by Helen and Mary at the Dorothy Butler Bookshop. They put on a great afternoon tea, had stacks of my books on display and spoke with great warmth and generosity about my work. It was such a lovely turnout of locals, including 7 authors!!! I am constantly blown away by the support of fellow children’s and Young Adult authors.
I read a few pages and shared a few background secrets about the world of the story.
I was so touched by the support and love from readers and friends.
