Upcoming Events: Somerset & Reading Matters

Category: Uncategorized

Wowsers, it’s March already and the year is racing ahead! I am teaching part-time this year so it’s been a big adjustment settling into a new routine and learning to maximize my writing time between classes. Thankfully, I feel like I’ve finally got my rhythm sorted. I have been working hard on my new manuscript and I’m staring to feel quite excited with what is emerging on the page! In the meantime here are some upcoming events to keep an eye out for.

Next week you will find me on the Gold Coast at the Somerset Celebration of Literature!

Somerset

I am hugely excited to be a part of this great line-up – Somerset has an amazing reputation. I can’t wait to see authors Fleur Ferris, Shivaun Plozza, Emily Gale, Alison Goodman, Mark Smith and so many more outstanding writers. I am delivering four different sessions and attending a youth dinner. You can check out the festival guide here for session times.

In May I am leading a writing workshop in Christchurch about “Suspending Disbelief” as a part of a New Zealand Society of Author’s day of activities. I will post the details as soon as they are available. I would LOVE to see you!

Coming up in June, I will be joining the likes of Jennifer Niven, Jay Kristoff and A.S. King among a glittering array of writers at State Library Victoria’s YA Reading Matters conference. This includes some exciting public events also. The final program will be released in the next couple of weeks. But if you’re near Melbourne it is an event truly worth your time! I can’t wait!
