The Rift Goes to America

It is a dream come true for me to have a novel released in North America, something I have hoped and prayed for, for a long time. Even with a quiet release, backlist book, I am overwhelmed with gratitude. When the hardcover copies arrived I spent a lot of time stroking that sparkling gold spine beneath the dust jacket. We don’t publish in hardback here in New Zealand and Australia, so it feels like a BIG DEAL for a lil’ kiwi girl.

So, thank you to Candlewick Press for picking up this peculiar story about a mysterious island where a community of Rangers protect and ancient herd of mystical deer from poachers and big pharmaceutical company fortune hunters. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate the opportunity to connect with a new community of readers.
